About

The human story of Circuit Static

Circuit Static is the release identity for a long body of music work that stretches back to the mid 1990s. The public release timeline under the Circuit Static name started later, but the creative history behind it goes much deeper.

The deeper story starts before the official storefront era. Music creation reaches back to 1994, and the project gradually evolved through older names, experiments, and different phases of output before Circuit Static became the public release identity in 2014.

Once that release era began, Circuit Static did not lock itself to a single formula. The catalog moves through electronic music, soundtrack work, game related material, fantasy linked releases, darker and stranger experiments, playful themed albums, and tracks that fit more like stations in a larger fictional world than entries in one narrow genre lane.

Public references have described Circuit Static as a single member act and have connected the project to Chisholm Morris as composer, performer, technologist, and creator. The work is also closely tied to the broader Cosmality identity, which gives the catalog a bigger cross media context.

The current phase is about deciding what deserves to last. Instead of endless scattered releases, the goal now is to preserve the strongest work, present it better, and turn the history into something readable, accessible, and worth revisiting.
